Weather looks good! Stop and Swap, e-waste collection, textile collection, and other activities will be taking place. See you at the event!

Event Address: Inside Prospect Park near Park Circle at the entrance on Prospect Park Southwest across the street from TD Bank.

-Stop ‘N’ Swap by GrowNYC*** (clean portable items such as clothing, housewares, books, and toys)
-Textile Recycling by Wearable Collections (no rugs, mats, pillows, comforters, or insulation material)
-NYC Department of Buildings (get answers  about permits, violations, projects, and more)
-Brooklyn Solar Works (find out how to save with solar installations)
-NYC Department of Design and Construction (learn about water mitigation projects in the area)
-NYPD (bike etching)
-South Midwood Pollinators (leaf bin building workshop)
-Brooklyn Botanic Garden (information and seed giveaways)
-Prospect Park Alliance (places to go, things to do, how to volunteer, and more)
-NYC Department of Environmental Protection (rain barrel sign up and giveaways)
-MTA (maps, updates on major capital projects, information on OMNY and more)
-DSNY E-waste recycling (see below)

***Stop 'N' Swap will not attend if weather is inclement.

E-waste will be accepted from 10am until 1pm.
Please RSVP if you plan to bring E-waste to drop-off. This does not guarantee that all items will be accepted but does help DSNY estimate how many trucks to send to the event.
Only E-waste will be accepted (no paint, batteries, non-electronic items, motor oil, etc). This is not a Special Waste event. Details on Special Waste drop-off can be found here.
Examples of accepted electronic items are:

  • Computers (laptops & desktops, servers, mainframes)
  • Handheld devices (smartphones, tablets, MP3 players, e-readers, etc.)
  • Network devices (routers, hubs, modems, etc.)
  • Peripherals (keyboards, mice, cables, cords, chargers, etc.)
  • Components (hard drives, CD-ROMs, circuit boards, power supplies, etc.)
  • Printers, scanners, fax machines
  • TVs, VCRs, DVRs, DVD & Blu-ray Players
  • Digital converter boxes, cable/satellite receivers
  • Video game consoles and accessories
  • Cell phones, pagers, PDAs
  • Audio-visual equipment (cameras, microphones, stereo equipment, etc.)

Please register below to help DSNY estimate of the number of attendees who plan to recycle e-waste. DSNY hopes to accommodate everyone. E-waste will be accepted on first come first served basis.
